LED backlit signboards are letters, logos and light boxes lit from inside or behind so your name stays readable after sunset. Exhibition Printing Riyadh builds face-lit, halo-lit and box designs in its Riyadh factory for restaurants, shops, hotels and clinics, and installs them across Saudi Arabia.
Before ordering a lit sign, answer four questions: is there a power point near the sign position, should the letter face glow or the wall behind it, how will the sign be reached for servicing, and what does the brand colour look like when it is light rather than ink? Settle those and the rest is fabrication.
Face-lit letters push light through a translucent acrylic front and read boldly from across a road. Halo-lit letters are opaque, stand a few centimetres off the wall and wash a soft glow behind them, which suits hotels, clinics and head offices. Light boxes hold a printed or cut face over a lit cabinet and work for larger logos and menu panels. Mixed builds, such as metal letters with a halo, are common.
Inside each letter we space the LED modules to avoid dark patches, seal the housing against dust and summer heat, and run cabling to a driver that can be reached later. Lit colours can differ from printed ones, so we confirm the face material and light tone with you before cutting. Older signs can often be converted to LED after inspection. Installation is available across the Kingdom.

How is an illuminated sign built?
Each letter or box is a small enclosure holding LED modules, fixed to a backing and fed by a driver, which converts mains power to the low voltage the LEDs use. Depth matters: letters that are too shallow show bright spots through the face. Outdoor builds need weather-rated modules and drivers, sealed entries for cables, and a tidy route back to a switched power point.
Which light colour and brightness should I choose?
Cool white looks crisp and carries well at a distance, while warm white suits cafes, hotels and timber or stone frontages. Coloured LEDs can look more saturated than a printed colour, so test on a sample where you can. More brightness is not always better: a very bright sign on a narrow street glares and loses legibility. Dimming or a timer helps where the street is already well lit.
How long do LEDs last, and how do I care for the sign?
LEDs usually dim gradually rather than fail outright, and the driver is often the first part to need replacing, especially where heat builds up. Keep drivers ventilated and reachable. Clean the faces gently, as dust noticeably reduces brightness. If several letters flicker or go dark at once, suspect the driver or wiring, and have a qualified person check it rather than opening the sign yourself.

What affects the price of LED Backlit Signboards
01
Letter count and sizeEach letter is its own enclosure, so long names and big letters raise the cost.
02
Lighting styleHalo-lit and combined builds usually need more fabrication than a basic light box.
03
LED and driver gradeOutdoor-rated components with sealed housings cost more than basic indoor parts.
04
Power and accessLong cable runs, new power points and high fixing positions add to installation work.
What to send us
Vector logo, avoiding hairline strokes that are too narrow for LEDs to fit inside.
Preferred light colour, plus a photo of the frontage at night if possible.
Width of the fixing wall, and where the nearest power point is.
Note of the lit area in Arabic and English, so both are built to read clearly.

LED Backlit Signboards: common questions
Quick answers about our services, timing, artwork and delivery. Have another question? Call or WhatsApp us.
What is the difference between face-lit and halo-lit signs?
Face-lit signs shine through the front of the letter, while halo-lit signs glow from behind onto the wall. Face-lit is usually bolder, and halo-lit feels more understated.
Can you match my brand color?
We can aim for a close match using the face material and light color. Lit colors can look different from print, so we review the options with you first.
Can an existing sign be converted to LED?
Often, yes, depending on its condition and construction. Our team would assess the sign before recommending a retrofit or a new build.
Can the sign switch on and off automatically?
Yes. A timer or a light sensor can be included, so the sign comes on at dusk and goes off at a set time.
Do I need a power point ready before installation?
It helps to have one near the sign position. Tell us where it is during planning, so that cable routes and driver placement can be arranged.
Do LED signs use a lot of electricity?
LEDs generally use far less power than older neon or fluorescent signs. The actual use depends on sign size and how many hours it runs.
