Silk screen lanyards carry a logo in solid, sharp-edged ink pushed through a mesh screen onto the strap, one colour at a time. They are the economical answer when a company, exhibition organiser or security contractor in Saudi Arabia needs hundreds of identical straps with a simple one to three colour logo, including white on black, printed in Riyadh.
Most corporate logos are one colour on a brand background, and most access teams want that on a strap, repeated without variation across every employee and contractor. Silk screen was built for this job. A screen is prepared for each colour, ink is pressed through it onto the strap, and the result is a dense, opaque mark with crisp edges that reads from across a hall.
Because the ink sits on top of the fabric, the strap colour does not limit you. White, yellow or any pale ink prints straight onto black, navy or green, which is the usual request for security and facilities teams. Our factory also runs automatic silicone screen printing, giving the logo a slightly raised, rubbery feel for buyers who want the print to be felt as well as seen.
The economics favour volume and simplicity. Screen setup is a fixed step, so the more straps you print and the fewer colours you use, the better the unit price looks. The method is not suited to photographs, gradients or tiny lettering; for those we will point you to sublimation or DTF instead. Will my logo work in silk screen?
Convert it to solid colours and look at it at actual strap height. If it still reads, it will print well. Tiny text, hairlines and soft shadows are the usual problems, because ink needs a minimum line thickness to pass cleanly through the mesh. A logo with a gradient often has a flat version in its brand guidelines. Use that, or ask our design team to prepare one.
Standard screen ink or silicone?
Standard ink lies thin and flat, which keeps the strap flexible and suits most orders. Silicone screen printing builds a slightly raised, rubbery logo that catches the eye and has a distinct feel. It suits solid shapes better than fine text, since thin strokes lose their edge when built up. Ask to compare both on a sample if the feel of the logo is important to your brand.
How do I make the print last?
Choose a design that does not place heavy ink exactly where the strap folds behind the neck. Ink layers wear first at fold and rub points, especially where the clip or badge holder knocks against the print. Hang straps rather than crushing them in a box, and avoid solvent cleaners, which can soften ink. A little mild soap and water is enough for most marks.

Silk Screen Lanyards: common questions
Quick answers about our services, timing, artwork and delivery. Have another question? Call or WhatsApp us.
It works best with one to three solid colours, because each colour needs its own screen. For more colours or gradients, we usually recommend sublimation.
Can you print white ink on a black lanyard?
Yes, silk screen prints light inks directly onto dark straps. This makes it a strong option for white logos on black or navy.
Is silk screen cheaper than sublimation?
It often is for simple logos in larger quantities, but it depends on your colours and order size. Send us your artwork and quantity for an accurate comparison.
How small can text be on a silk screen lanyard?
There is no single limit, as it depends on the font and strap, but thin Arabic and Latin strokes close up first. Send your text and we will check it at print size.
Will the ink crack over time?
Thin ink stays flexible in normal wear, but any surface print can wear slowly at fold and rub points. Keeping heavy ink away from the neck fold helps.
Can I reorder later and keep the same look?
Yes, and it helps to keep the same ink references and strap colour from your first order. Small variation between batches is possible, so tell us if a run must sit beside older straps.
