Unipole signage is a large sign face raised on a single steel column so a business can be seen from the road long before its building. Exhibition Printing Riyadh plans, fabricates and installs unipoles from Riyadh for fuel stations, showrooms, plazas and roadside sites across Saudi Arabia.
A unipole is a structure first and a sign second. Column, foundation, wind load and face size are engineered around the site, and only then does the branding go on. That is why we begin every unipole with a visit to see where traffic approaches from, what blocks the line of sight and how far away a driver needs to read the name.
Once height and face dimensions are agreed, fabrication moves to Riyadh. Faces are usually ACP with UV printed graphics or vinyl, and can be fitted with LED illumination so the sign works at night; single or double-sided layouts follow the traffic directions. Multi-tenant panels let a plaza or mall list several brands on one column. Installation covers the foundation, column erection and face fitting.
Regulations and permits differ between municipalities and locations, so check the requirement early. We supply the drawings and dimensions an application normally needs. Timelines depend on size, ground conditions and site access and are confirmed after the survey. If your frontage is set back from a highway or hidden behind a wall, this is usually the sign that pays for itself.

How is a uni pole built?
A uni pole is steelwork first and signage second. It rests on a reinforced concrete foundation, with a steel column carrying the sign faces, which are usually an ACP or similar skin on an internal frame. Because a tall sign acts like a sail, the design must account for wind load, and the foundation is sized for it. Steel is normally galvanised or painted to resist corrosion, and internal access is planned for wiring.
How do I decide on height and face size?
Stand where your customers will first need to see it, or drive the road yourself. Note what blocks the view: trees, buildings, bridges or other signs. Then work back from the distance and speed of the traffic. A taller pole does little if the face is too small to read, so choose few words and bold letters. Drivers have seconds, so a logo and one short message usually beat a long list.
What upkeep does a uni pole need?
Inspect the structure periodically, particularly the base plate, anchor bolts and any welds, because these carry the load. Look for rust, loose panels and damaged sealant, and check again after strong winds or sandstorms. Lit faces need attention to drivers and LEDs, and these can be hard to reach without proper access. Dust settles on the faces and dulls them, so plan cleaning with working-at-height precautions.
Unipole Signage: options compared
Option
Best for
Good to know
Single-sided
Sites seen from one traffic direction
Lower cost, but with no presence for traffic from the other way
Double-sided
Two-way roads
Reaches both directions, with more face area and lighting
Internally lit faces
Night-time trade and fuel stations
Even glow across the face, and needs service access
Tenant panel layout
Malls and retail plazas
Individual panels can be changed as tenants change
Non-illuminated ACP
Daytime or well-lit sites
Simpler and lower upkeep, but relies on surrounding light at night
What affects the price of Unipole Signage
01
HeightTaller poles need more steel, larger foundations and heavier lifting equipment.
02
Face size and number of facesBigger or double-sided faces add materials and increase the wind load on the structure.
03
IlluminationLED faces and the power supply brought to the base add to the job.
04
Ground and site conditionsSoil, buried services, access for cranes and traffic control all affect the groundworks and installation.

Unipole Signage: common questions
Quick answers about our services, timing, artwork and delivery. Have another question? Call or WhatsApp us.
It depends on the road, the surrounding obstructions and local requirements. We recommend a height after reviewing the site and sight lines.
Do I need a permit for a uni pole?
Requirements vary by location, so check with the relevant authority before fabrication. We can provide drawings and dimensions to support your application.
Can a uni pole carry several brands?
Yes. We can design separate tenant panels, which works well for malls, plazas and shared commercial sites.
What do you need to know about the ground?
We need the soil conditions if known, plus the location of any buried cables or pipes. Share any site drawings you have, because they shape the foundation plan.
Can the faces be rebranded later?
Yes. The pole and frame normally stay in place, while faces or graphics are replaced, so a rebrand costs much less than a new structure.
Does a uni pole work if my site is set back from the road?
That is often when it helps most. Placing it close to the road edge, within your plot, can bring your name into view well before the building.
